We must say this upfront. What we are about to share is what makes her not only special but also a survivor. She has some right shoulder scaring that she wears as a visible “Badge of Honor” from her racing days. We see her as a survivor because even though this was caused by another racing dog her awesome character was not harmed in any way. This can happen after a race when muzzles are taken off. It helps for easier breathing and calming dogs down.
It is amazing to us that while healing nicely she is vigorously advocating to be cuddled and petted. No hang ups here as she rolls on her back appreciating any spontaneous belly rubs. What a testament to the nature of her heart. With a short glance – she is a survivor. With a longer look you see a small, sleek black, female charmer who will drink you in with her eyes. When you come in she will lay on her side with her paws reaching out to you. Then up she gets begging for treats and walking with a spring in her step. Think she can steal your heart and never give it back? Betcha!!!!!
Come see me the 2nd Sunday of the month at our open house from 1-3 pm. See the event calendar for more information.
