TheRainbowBridgeJust this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.

There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.

There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.

The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again.

The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together…. ~ Author unknown

Indra GreyhoundIndra Marshall
09/02/05 – 02/25/15

We adopted this extraordinary beauty September 2nd, 2005 from RDRP. He melted our hearts at first sight and we named him Indra. Indra was all about LOVE, hugs and treats! His heart grew bigger every time he seen a human, he would smile, wag and even “chitter.” Indra was a goofy fellow with terrific quirks and was the BEST body pillow ever!  He became our heart hound and is missed every day. Indra had his very own Facebook page Indra the Greythound!

Indra went to the Rainbow Bridge to escape his failing body and run free on  2/25/2015

1988 – 2004
Danny was born in 1988 and died in 2004.
That makes him 16!!

He came to me as a foster when he was 14 and he lived 2 more years with me. His owner had passed away and Danny had no where to go so RDRP took him in.

He was truly a little old man and ruled the roost!!
I was very honored to give him 2 more years of love!

smokey greyhoundSmokey
1992 – 2002

Smokey was a foster failure and my first greyhound. He did obedience lessons for 2 years and he was so good that the trainer wanted us to go into trails.

He was one of those dogs at meet and greets that everyone wanted to adopt! He would jump for joy at every person who walked into Petsmart.

He was my true heart dog. He was with me through some difficult times.
