Colt… our beautiful and happy go lucky boy that has been at the Adoption Center for far too long through no fault of his own. We are never sure why particular hounds seem to get overlooked and spend a long time here, and others zoom out the door! The right person just has not walked through our door yet for Colt to claim. He is patiently waiting for his human.
Colt arrived last January 13th, 2017, and was born on March 2nd, 2012. Yes, this gorgeous guy has been here almost a year and is approaching age six in March. He loves to play fetch… really loves it. He would happily toss around a ball with you for ages, or be content to lounge around and just hang out with too! Colt is NOT fond of cats. http://ironsmithequipment.com/2013/10/oscar-wilde/ Update*** Colt was re-tested for cat compatibility today, 12/03/17 and he passed!!!
Colt is a very affectionate and nice boy… who needs a helping hand to boost him on his way to his next adventure… his furever home.
We need someone who would like to help Colt by fostering him short term or long term.
Short term would be 7-10 days so he can have his procedures done, neuter, teeth cleaning, micro-chip, etc. Then he would come back to the Adoption Center and be able to go to Meet & Greets and events. Getting Colt out in the public eye increases his chances of him finding his furever human!
Long term would be until he is adopted, with you bringing him to events and Meet & Greets, again, after his procedures. A fenced yard (his love of fetch and playing ball) would be ideal for long term.
It’s a win-win for Colt AND a greyt and meaningful experience for the kind person who helps him out!
